Christina Aguilera in Marchesa

13th December 2010 2:30 pm

Gracing the Spanish red carpet last Friday, singing soul stress Christina Aguilera took centre stage in Madrid to promote her first ever acting role in the motion picture Burlesque.

Having recently split from her husband, Ms. Aguilera looked confident and happy in a stunning knee-length beaded Marchesa gown at the film’s premiere, despite being a few pounds heavier than we’re used to seeing the pint-sized pop star.

Achingly intricate and darn right gorgeous, we love the black Marchesa dress, but it seems to swallow a short Christina – regardless of her sky-high pumps, she just doesn’t have enough leg inches to pull off this classic calf-skimming LBD.

Still, we’re looking forward to seeing the American star in all her acting glory this week.
