Britney Spears auctions one of her iconic 1999 outfits

21st April 2011 10:55 am

It seems Britney Spears has decided to let her generous nature loose and raise money for the desperate people of Japan by auctioning off one of her most iconic outfits – the one she wore almost twelve years ago.

The teeny-tiny black sports bra and enormous white flared pants made their debut back in 1999, when Britney wore the rather revealing outfit for a Japanese candy commerical – yes, we’re still wondering why she kept hold of the outfit, too.

But as with any Britney memorabilia, the fans are going crazy for it, with the bidding currently at $4,931.71 (£2,977.99) and rising, reports the Cut.

So if you fancy a slice of Britney’s wardrobe, simply click here – all proceeds will help aid the relief of Japan.
