Carey Mulligan’s Met Gala dress up for auction!

11th May 2012 9:36 am

Yep, Carey Mulligan’s stunning one-of-a-kind Prada dress that she wore this Monday night for the Met Gala is already going under the hammer.

It’s a good week for celebrity fashion auctions, as just yesterday we revealed that Rosie Huntington Whiteley’s red Antonio Berardi gown that she wore to the Transformers: Dark of the Moon premiere was also up for auction to raise money for a good cause.

Carey’s dress is going up for auction to raise money for Oxfam – 100% of the proceeds will go to the charity, so if you’re the lucky winner, you can rest assured that your dollars will be doing a world of good.

The custom Prada number – which landed Carey on countless best dressed lists (ours included!) – comes in a US size 2-4, and is currently on eBay for $1000. Not too bad, although we predict the sum will reach an eye-watering amount by the time the auction actually ends on May 19th.

If we had the funds and were the same size as Carey, we’d definitely put a bid in. Would you?
