Designer Olivia Rubin certainly has an impressive CV. Having worked under Alexander McQueen and John Galliano; designed for Jade Jagger’s Jezebel SS08 collection, and graduated from Central St Martins with a degree in fashion print, Rubin has gained quite the celeb following over the past couple of years, with her own line.

This season, the designer sought inspiration from New York cityscape and architecture some of these latest pieces have been spotted on the likes of fashionista, Fearne Cotton. We love the vibrant Tulip dress from Rubin’s fall 2009 collection, which features the dominating square panel print. Worn with the detachable, monochrome capelet, this elegant piece is transformed into an alternative, fun look whilst retaining the feminine structure of the silk satin dress. £200 from Olivia Rubin London.
