If you’ve ever been to Europe or Japan, it’s likely you’ll have heard of Monki, a concept store that sets savvy-shoppers’ hearts a-flutter with its purse-friendly, uber cool clothes. Well good news, Londoners – it’s coming to the capital!

And frankly, we couldn’t be more excited. We’ve lost count of the amount of times we’ve asked someone where they got that cute top, or pleaded with our pals to pick us something up from the store on their travels, so we’re feeling suitably smug that we can finally steal that Scandinavian style on British shores.

Monki’s set to open an exclusive pop-up shop in Selfridges this September, which will bring the world of Monki to the UK with a story-based shopping space stocking the store’s latest collections – expect scales lining the walls and sunken treasures everywhere.

“We experience a high demand for our design,” says Monki Chief Operating Of?cer Henrik Aaen. “So, naturally, we have been considering the perfect ?rst step to take on the UK market for quite some time. Today, we are thrilled to have found the ideal place for bringing our unique concept to London.”

Everything is under £120, and if it looks familiar, it is: Monki’s the little quirky sister of Cheap Monday and is owned by H&M.

Mark September 1st in your diaries – it’s a must-shop for fashion fans.
