Having just witnessed an entire month of new-season collections during the respective New York, London, Milan and Paris Fashion Weeks, we know all too well that trends come and go pretty quickly.

Akin to our beloved fashion, TVs the way it looks and the way in which we view it – has really evolved over the year. Television sets have got bigger, wider and slimmer as the years have gone on, we no longer need to reposition the aerial when the cat decides to jump on top of the TV, we can change the channel from the comfort of our own sofa without fiddling with tricky dials on the set, and we have more than a handful of channels to choose from. Doesn’t the picture above make you feel old?

We're always on the lookout for something bigger and better – and it doesn't start and end with fashion. Whether it’s fashion, food crazes, hair styles or even technology, we like to keep on top of things and make sure we’re always in the loop. And one thing that has caught our attention this morning now that the Fashion Week hype has died down is the new range of Sony TVs as they’re nothing like we’ve ever seen before!

We love nothing more than sitting in front of the television after a long hard day and catching up on our favourite shows like Girls or Friends (yes, Friends repeats never get old!) so we’re always on the lookout for the latest technology to watch it on.

We know that Sony is one of the best names out there when it comes to technology as a whole, not just televisions, but we think the brand has outdone itself this time thanks to the brand spanking new 4K TV.

The 4K TV gives you a true cinematic experience (minus the sticky floors, seemingly endless trailers and the couple making smooching noises behind you) with a picture of over 8 million pixels (3840 x 2160 resolution). That’s HD like never before! The 4K X-Reality PRO boosts viewing to near 4K resolution, which means that regardless of what you are watching, the images will be refined with sharp details and colours, meaning you get the best picture possible. Sony’s unique Triluminos display pledges to bring each and every image to life thanks to the NFC.

Oh, and did we mention it comes with built in Wifi? This means you can connect your smartphone to the TV and view all your holiday pics, Fashion Week street style pics (or even drunken party snaps – we won’t judge) in the highest resolution and quality imaginable. It also means that watching TV has become a lot more social; the built in Wifi means that video chatting, instant messaging and Tweeting your friends, family or even total strangers while watching your footie team has never been easier. And who doesn't want to broadcast what they really think of the referee's decision to as many people as possible?

Yep, technology has come a long way over the years; we can’t wait to see what Sony comes up with next, but in the meantime we will continue to be amazed by the 4K TVs and everything that comes along with them. We know what our next few pay slips will be going towards…
