Q&A: Model, Actress, & Designer, Lou Doillon

Oozing charm, charisma and style, Lou Doillon, 25, is fast becoming an international icon. Her c.v reads, model, actress, artist and now designer (her debut collection for Lee Cooper received rave reviews). She recently unveiled her autumn/winter 08 range for the label in Paris and it looks set to be just as successful. Here, Lou answers some of our random questions….

I never leave home without?
My hat…

My ideal holiday destination is
The damp country… Wales, Bretagne, Normandie.

My inspiration comes from?
The Artful Dodger, Oliver Dickens, strong women and the way little boys dress!.. The clothes I have designed are inspired by my unique family and what they wore. I was raised with pretty chic people around and the collection is a mixture of the way they dressed, my mothers clothes but with my Grandma’s high waists; she was a very glamorous actress from England.

Fashion to me is?
Taking certain pieces from certain collections and mixing and matching them… I like to personalize my outfits and add my own touches to pieces, adding my own buttons etc. Fashion to me is any girl in the street with her own style and unique way of dressing. Fashion knows how to mix pieces, having a genius way of thinking about clothes.

I last bought?
A navy officer cap, in Deauville, this weekend

If I could change one thing about the world it would be?
Nothing.

I’m happiest when?
Dancing
