New womenswear store GIVe to open this month

15th September 2009 6:43 pm

George Davies, founder of NEXT and George at Asda, has unveiled plans to open his new Flagship womenswear store GIVe, on London’s Regent Street at the end of this month.

The new brand will be aimed at women aged 30 and over, offering customers ‘affordable luxury’ with great customer service, at prices similar to that of High Street brands Karen Millen and Whistles. And why the name?  Five to ten percent of the stores profits will be donated to charity.

There are set to be 25 GIVe locations opening in the UK this autumn including stores and concessions, with each store offering a free tailor and a style advisor.

Could Davies be the next Philip Green?

We love designer fashion, but we love a damn good bargain, too, so while we might lust after Lanvin one minute, we’ll be traipsing to Topshop the next.

You guys are the only reason we get up at 6am to cover the royal wedding and go to bed 5am after the Oscars – we’re dedicated to bringing you the juiciest gossip from the fashion world and delivering the best shopping guides we can muster, because hey, we’re just doing our job. And it’s a good job we love it!
