Jimmy Choo gets fragrant

Designer shoe label Jimmy Choo has signed an agreement with Inter Parfums SA to licence their first fragrance.

The 12-year licensing agreement with the Paris based company , who already have numerous fragrance licences under their belt including Burberry, Lanvin and Paul Smith , starts in January, and will involve the creation, development and distribution of Jimmy Choo scents.

Tamara Mellon, founder and president of Jimmy Choo, told Elle UK: “It has always been my vision to fully accessorise the woman, and fragrance is an integral part of the modern wardrobe. I look forward to bringing this important aspect of my vision to life.

So do we. There’s no news on the launch date yet, but we’re hoping to get our hands on a finished fragrance soon.

With news of its perfume plans and recent collaboration with high street store H&M, it seems Jimmy Choo is becoming more accessible. Oh, with one exception, accessible probably isn’t what the luxury label had in mind when it designed those luminescent shoes.

Welcome to My Fashion Life!

Launched in 2003 My Fashion Life is one of the UK’s leading top fashion blogs. Recognised for combining all the quality content you’d expect to find in an online magazine with the honest opinion and tone of a blog.

We love designer fashion, but we love a damn good bargain, too, so while we might lust after Lanvin one minute, we’ll be traipsing to Topshop the next.

You guys are the only reason we get up at 6am to cover the royal wedding and go to bed 5am after the Oscars – we’re dedicated to bringing you the juiciest gossip from the fashion world and delivering the best shopping guides we can muster, because hey, we’re just doing our job. And it’s a good job we love it!
