Anya Hindmarch joins the BFC

22nd November 2010 11:31 am

It seems congratulations are in order this morning for one of Britain’s best-loved designers – Anya Hindmarch has just been unveiled as the British Fashion Council’s new non-executive director.

She replaces Hilary Riva, who announced she was stepping down from her five-year role earlier this year, and now joins the likes of Harold Tilman and Caroline Rush – and as Anya’s new position at the BFC‘s board begins with immediate effect, she for one can’t wait to get stuck in.

“I am looking forward to getting involved and being able to contribute to such an innovative and prestigious body at such an exciting time for British fashion,” she said.

And Harold Tillman, chairman of the BFC, shares her enthusiasm.

“Anya will make a great addition to our team,” he said. “She brings with her huge experience from both the design and retail sector and will be invaluable as we move towards with our future plans.”

We can’t wait to see what the designer’s got up her ever-stylish sleeve.

Congrats, Anya!
