Natalie Portman will front Miss Dior Cherie

10th December 2010 12:57 pm

Well, what do you know, it seems Dior’s crush on Natalie Portman has hit the big time – the actress, who was announced as the face of Dior Parfums this spring, has just been unveiled as the new leading lady for one of its most iconic fragrances.

Yep, first up for Natalie in her new – and first face of – role will be fronting Miss Dior Cherie, one of the brand’s best-selling scents. Well, there’s nothing like being thrown in at the deep end.

Having just been shot by Tim Walker in a series of print ads and similarly by Sophia Coppola for the TV campaign, we’ll have to wait until next year to see Ms. Portman in first luxury beauty campaign when the ads make their debut in March – but frankly, we’re in no doubt the 29-year-old will triumph.

That said, she might need to touch up on her beauty application. “I’m pretty casual in my beauty routine in my real life,” the actress, who was chosen for being “charismatic and elegant”, told WWD. “Some might say sloppy.”

We can’t wait to see the campaign.

Welcome to My Fashion Life!

Launched in 2003 My Fashion Life is one of the UK’s leading top fashion blogs. Recognised for combining all the quality content you’d expect to find in an online magazine with the honest opinion and tone of a blog.

We love designer fashion, but we love a damn good bargain, too, so while we might lust after Lanvin one minute, we’ll be traipsing to Topshop the next.

You guys are the only reason we get up at 6am to cover the royal wedding and go to bed 5am after the Oscars – we’re dedicated to bringing you the juiciest gossip from the fashion world and delivering the best shopping guides we can muster, because hey, we’re just doing our job. And it’s a good job we love it!
