Will Erdem ever design for H&M?

4th April 2011 10:51 am

Like with many high-street and designer collaborations there’s always a lengthy period filled with guessing games as to whether or not the coveted designer in mind will actually go forth with the capsule collection – and the latest one is no exception.

Swedish brand H&M are notorious for their high-end collabs – Jimmy Choo, Lanvin, Stella McCartney, and Matthew Williamson to name a few – but now it looks as though Canadian-born fashion designer Erdem Moralioglu wouldn’t say no to designing for the high-street super either.

“It’s come up so many times, but I’m just too focused on my own collection at this point,” he says. “It takes up all my time! But in the future, down the line – who knows?”

Erdem has also been widely tipped to have scooped the role of designing Kate Middleton’s wedding dress – but as with most gossip, he is yet to confirm such news, reports Vogue UK.

“I mean, any mention like that is just a huge compliment,” he says. “It’s so flattering! I will say that Kate is very beautiful.”

We’re keeping our fingers crossed at least one of these rumors come true!
