America’s Next Top Model winner Whitney Thompson to launch plus-size dating site
A plus-size dating site wasn’t on the expansive list of prizes Tyra Banks was offering the winner of America’s Next Top Model, but nevertheless, that is Cycle 10 winner Whitney Thompson’s latest project.
The website will very aptly be called ‘the big and the beautiful’ and apparently came about after Whitney herself had negative experiences with online dating.
“When I would call myself a plus-sized model guys would expect me to be a really big girl,” Whitney told the New York Post. “But if I said, ‘I’m a model,’ they were disappointed that I’m bigger. Either way, I wasn’t what the guy was looking for.”
‘The big and the beautiful’ dating site launches this week, with membership costing $40 a month.
