Recognized as the Oscars of the fashion industry, The CFDA fashion awards took place yesterday. Held at the Brooklyn Museum, it was certainly a night to remember with celebrities including Bella Hadid, Alek Wek, Olivia Palmermo and Jennifer Lopez in attendance. The event marked a transition from Diane Von Furstenberg as chairwoman of the CFDA to Tom Ford whom took over as chairman.
The honour of Fashion Icon went to JLo, whom was recognized for her “long-standing and global impact on fashion,” while fashion editor Carine Roitfeld took home the founders award and designer Brandon Maxwell received the Womenswear Designer of the Year.
