The Fashion Fringe Finalists

7th June 2010 11:06 am

So last week was all about the semi-finals as we told you which budding designers had best impressed John Galliano for the final round of the Fashion Fringe, but Friday saw those eager 10 whittled down to three promising protegees who will soon be on their way to fashion stardom.

Galliano, along with his host of fashionable friends – Kate Moss, Gareth Pugh, Harold Tilman, William Tempest, Erdem – gathered at The Club at The Ivy on Friday night to unveil the three designers battling it out for one of fashion’s most coveted prizes, so with no further ado, the finalists of this year’s Fashion Fringe are: Alice Palmer, Corrie Nielson and Jade Kang.

And we suggest you familiarise yourself with these names now, because you’ll be hearing lots more from them in the coming months. They’ll each be showing their collections – which they’re no doubt working hard on as we speak – at London Fashion Week in September, where one will finally be declared the eventual winner, Elle UK reveal.

And with Erdem and William Tempest as previous Fashion Fringe alumni, we’d say the finalists are in good company. Watch this space…

We love designer fashion, but we love a damn good bargain, too, so while we might lust after Lanvin one minute, we’ll be traipsing to Topshop the next.

You guys are the only reason we get up at 6am to cover the royal wedding and go to bed 5am after the Oscars – we’re dedicated to bringing you the juiciest gossip from the fashion world and delivering the best shopping guides we can muster, because hey, we’re just doing our job. And it’s a good job we love it!
