Liberty enters the world of Dragons Den

13th April 2011 9:47 am

If you’re anything like us then you’ll love watching all those aspiring entrepreneurs making their debut on the television series Dragons Den – but now it seems the show just got more interesting with the help of Liberty London.

Liberty is offering a never-before-seen insight into the world of fashion buying as the launch of its brand new seven-part Dragons Den-style documentary series aired for the first time last night.

“It was quite nerve-wracking being followed with a camera but after a few weeks it became less intimidating – until I actually saw myself on film,” says Liberty managing director, Ed Burstell. “I always knew what I sounded like but this – now I understand the power of editing!”

Britain’s Next Big Thing delves into the world of fashion merchandising and buying by taking a look at how Britain’s top stores choose new brands for their customers, as well as following the lives of four suppliers trying to build up their businesses.

The show is presented by Dragons Den star Theo Paphitis (pictured) and Liberty’s buying team – along with a whole menagerie of famous faces from the super-store’s high-end headquarters team, including head of press Kate Brindley and buying consultant Yasmin Sewell, reports Vogue UK.

This is one programme you certainly can’t afford to miss.

About us

Welcome to My Fashion Life!

Launched in 2003 My Fashion Life is one of the UK’s leading top fashion blogs. Recognised for combining all the quality content you’d expect to find in an online magazine with the honest opinion and tone of a blog.

We love designer fashion, but we love a damn good bargain, too, so while we might lust after Lanvin one minute, we’ll be traipsing to Topshop the next.

You guys are the only reason we get up at 6am to cover the royal wedding and go to bed 5am after the Oscars – we’re dedicated to bringing you the juiciest gossip from the fashion world and delivering the best shopping guides we can muster, because hey, we’re just doing our job. And it’s a good job we love it!
