We first reported you the news that singing pop sensation Katy Perry was the new face of ghd early last month – but now we can reveal the advertising campaign in all its girlie glory.

The brand’s latest Iconic Eras of Style limited edition collection is inspired by experimental catwalk trends with an ultra-chic 2011 twist – and we think Ms. Perry fits the bill rather nicely.

“I’m so excited to be working with ghd, especially using their tools on my California Dreams Tour to get me stage ready”, says Katy. “ghd products have a reputation of being the best products in the biz, and I like being associated with that. I’m very excited to reveal the styles I did with legendary David LaChapelle.”

The campaign was shot by award-winning fashion photographer David La Chapelle, and recreates some of fashion’s most iconic hairdo’s with an added modern kick – from 50’s loose wave glamour, 70’s tousled boho chic to bouncy 80’s new waves – there’s a hair-envy style to suit everyone this summer.

”Katy is the epitome of modern fashion and styling. Her unique, ever changing looks are the envy of style devotees around the world,” says Paul Stoneham, Chief Executive Officer, ghd. “Katy completely embodies ghd’s spirit of female transformation and empowerment, as she is recognised as a cutting edge style icon unafraid to push fashion and beauty boundaries. Sassy, stylish and sexy, Katy is the perfect partner for ghd.”

Each limited edition set contains the ghd Gold Classic styler, a stunning bag representing the era that gives a nod to this season’s catwalk trends, and an exclusive get the look book showing you how to recreate these iconic styles for yourself.
