Is Carine Roitfeld designing her own fashion label?

26th April 2011 10:34 am

Over the weekend, part-time model and self-described ‘young business woman,’ Amber Atherton, let loose a whole new wave of rumours after she tweeted the above picture, sparking off a menagerie of wagging tongues all wondering whether Vogue Paris editor-in-chief Carine Roitfeld has actually designed her own clothing label.

Amber uploaded an image of a garment with ‘Carine Roitfeld’ predominantly branded on the inside label to her Twitter account, alongside the caption: “Carine Roitfeld’s new womenswear label?! or just an odd [Hong Kong] label mishap?!”

But the very same day Amber posted the rumour-prompting image, Derek Blasberg tweeted a picture of Roitfeld at The Wolseley in London, with hairstylist Luigi Murenu and photographer Iango Henzi – causing many to jump to the conclusion the trio have been working on a new lookbook for Roitfeld’s questionable debut collection, reports Fashionologie.

No word on whether there’s actually any truth to this yet, but we so wish this rumour would come true.
