With recent rumours suggesting John Galliano‘s present lawyer, Stephane Zerbib, had quit his contract with the ex-Dior designer growing increasingly bigger, we can now exclusively reveal Stephane didn’t quit his job, but rather was sacked by Galliano himself.
Zerbib was apparently dismissed some weeks ago as Galliano’s offical lawyer, and whilst some might say this wasn’t the wisest of moves to carry out mere weeks before pre-trial hearings began in Paris, it looks as though the designer has everything under control – with the appointment of Aurélien Hamelle as his new lawyer, that is.
“Mr Zerbib was dismissed as Galliano’s lawyer some weeks ago following the discovery of apparent irregularities in respect of his firms administration of Galliano’s financial affairs over a number of years,” said a spokesperson to Vogue UK.
The designer’s pre-trial hearings are set to begin next week in Paris, and with his new lawyer in tow, we’re sure there’ll be a lot to catch up on.
We’ll no doubt keep you updated…
