Lily Allen asks Rupert Sanderson to design her wedding shoes

27th May 2011 10:52 am

Karl Lagerfeld may have been confirmed as designing Lily Allen‘s wedding evening dress for her upcoming big day, but it seems the ex pop-star has chosen British designer Rupert Sanderson to create her equally important footwear.

“He’s making me a pair of flats and a pair of heels, so I can run up and down hills,” explains Lily at a recent launch party for her debut Lucy In Disguise collection. “It’s much chicer to have two pairs I think. I just really hope it doesn’t rain.”

Although Lily’s Lucy In Disguise collection (designed with sister Sarah Owen) is strongly influenced by great vintage styles, the singer says her personal look is somewhat more versatile, reports Vogue UK.

“It’s up and down,” says Lily. “The way I’m feeling really effects what I wear, my mood, I mean. I basically put on whatever I think will make me feel happy that day.”

But when asked what she thinks it takes to make it in the fashion world, good old Lily answered in her typical witty tone.

“Ask us in five years time,” she said. “We’re just starting.”

We’ll hold you to that.
