Rihanna and Nicola Roberts team up to find hot new designing talent for Sky Living

27th January 2012 9:07 am

This is quite an unlikely collaboration, but Rihanna and Nicola Roberts (of Girls Aloud fame) are teaming up to find the next hot British designer.

The pair are working together on an as yet untitled British designing competition not hugely dissimilar to Project Runway, with the winner getting the opportunity to design a stage costume for Rihanna’s upcoming Wireless in Hyde Park performance later this year.

“I am excited to follow the journey of our aspiring contestants and see how their individuality influences their efforts during the course of the show,” said Rihanna, who is the executive producer of the show.

Miss Roberts, who will be hosting the show, is equally as thrilled to be joining forces with the one and only Rihanna.

“I was so flattered when Rihanna asked me to work with her on this show,” said Nicola. “I’m so excited for us to get started on finding a new up and coming British designer who just needs a chance, a little bit of help in getting their skills noticed.”

There’s no official air date yet, but we do know that the show will be on Sky Living some time in the summer. We can’t wait!
