Style Inspiration: Brideshead Revisited

21st July 2008 3:00 am

Being a somewhat besotted fan of Evelyn Waugh’s writing, not to mention my longing to live and dress with the Bright Young Things of 20s upper class London, it was inevitable that I would be a little bit obsessed with the remake of “Brideshead Revisited” before it was even released. Stumbling upon the trailer for the upcoming film I am utterly seduced by flapper bobs and curls, boys in silk pajamas and three piece suits with corsages and drop waisted silk dresses and overcome with an insatiable urge to run to my closest vintage store so that I can stock up on elaborate embroidery, dress hats and gloves and dazzling glass beads!

About us

Welcome to My Fashion Life!

Launched in 2003 My Fashion Life is one of the UK’s leading top fashion blogs. Recognised for combining all the quality content you’d expect to find in an online magazine with the honest opinion and tone of a blog.

We love designer fashion, but we love a damn good bargain, too, so while we might lust after Lanvin one minute, we’ll be traipsing to Topshop the next.

You guys are the only reason we get up at 6am to cover the royal wedding and go to bed 5am after the Oscars – we’re dedicated to bringing you the juiciest gossip from the fashion world and delivering the best shopping guides we can muster, because hey, we’re just doing our job. And it’s a good job we love it!

Editor’s Pick
