Moschino spreads love with new contemporary line

Here’s a little love on a Tuesday morning , from none other than Moschino, might we just add. The Italian apparel company is launching a lower priced accessories line, called Love Moschino.

We always get excited when we hear the words ‘affordable’ and ‘designer’ in the same sentence, and this is no exception. The luxury label , who recently re-designed Dorothy’s iconic red slippers , has decided to share a little love with us mere mortals who can’t always afford its larger price tags by creating a contemporary collection for spring, and boy are we grateful.

Retailing between $165 and $445 (that’s around £100 – £270), the accessories line is made up of 12 groups of bags, including totes, shoulder bags, wallets and clutches, with each group offering between four and six styles , some in patent leather, others in calf and canvas, reports WWD. The collection will be further expanded to include bags made from new materials such as suede for A/W10.

Going part-way to making the brand more accessible, the quirky quilted bags and colourful clutches give the contemporary line a more youthful, playful quality that we just love.

After experiencing this lustful longing at London Fashion Week‘s S/S10 shows, we’ve now got that very same sensation all over again: next season can’t come soon enough.
