It’s nice to know young aspiring British talent isn’t going unnoticed, and with that in mind you’ll be pleased to hear the British Fashion Council has just announced that the three designers that have won this year’s Fashion Forward sponsorship – Meadham Kirchoff, Peter Pilotto and Todd Lynn.

The award will give all three hot young things the funding to showcase their collections for two seasons at London Fashion Week this February and September and helps provide access to build their burgeoning businesses into a fashion empire – a pretty big scoop, non?

“This year’s Fashion Forward recipients are an incredible group of designers, watched each season by the world’s media and buyers as they build their brands,” says Caroline Rush, CEO of the British Fashion Council. “I am excited to see what the year ahead will bring for Edward, Ben, Peter, Chris and Todd and the collections that they will be showcasing at next month’s London Fashion Week. I thank our sponsors Coutts & Co and the London Development Agency for their continued support.”

And the winners have got some pretty big fashion shoes to fill with the likes of Christopher Kane, Giles Deacon and Erdem all previously scooping the highly-coveted prize since its set up five years ago.

“We are both pleased to have been awarded Fashion Forward,” Edward Meadham and Ben Kirchoff said. “It is so important that young talent is appropriately supported in this industry and Fashion Forward gives us the opportunity to further develop our work in a relevant manner.”

Congratulations to all three!
