Emmanuelle Alt’s first Vogue Paris issue will contain more clothes and less flesh

21st March 2011 9:30 am

We all know the cover of Emmanuelle Alt’s first Vogue Paris issue as editor-in-chief has the gorgeous Gisele Bundchen gracing the glossy, but we’re itching to know what’s inside the darn thing! March 25th just seems too far away quite frankly – so thanks to WWD, we have the sneaky inside scoop on the most anticipated magazine issue to date.

So what can we expect to see inside the Parisian style bible?

“I want to show in French Vogue more and more a lot of clothes,” said Alt, just as a journalist shows her a page with a nipple in plain sight. “One boob,” she says, defending her statement. “Otherwise, you don’t recognise it’s French Vogue.”

Former editor-in-chief of the magazine Carine Roitfeld was known for her surprising ratio of skin to clothes for a fashion editorial, so will Emmanuelle follow in her former boss’s expressive streak?

“I’m the first one to do a topless picture. I like the freedom of the magazine,” said Emmanuelle.

But it looks like the new fashion big shot has a lot more wordy features in store for the mag.

“It’s important to have something to read,” she said.

So there you have it, the odd boob but still plenty to read and sink your teeth into – the wait is killing us.

We love designer fashion, but we love a damn good bargain, too, so while we might lust after Lanvin one minute, we’ll be traipsing to Topshop the next.

You guys are the only reason we get up at 6am to cover the royal wedding and go to bed 5am after the Oscars – we’re dedicated to bringing you the juiciest gossip from the fashion world and delivering the best shopping guides we can muster, because hey, we’re just doing our job. And it’s a good job we love it!
