Kate Middleton won’t be accepting any free clothes for her tour of the US

At the minute, Kate Middleton is working on putting together the outfits she’ll need for her greatly anticipated upcoming 11 day trip to the US – but she won’t be accepting any freebies!

The trip marks her first venture to the overseas continent, and means Kate absolutely can’t leave any room for sartorial error – even if she does have to buy all the clothes herself.

A spokesman for the couple stated the Duchess “has a policy not to accept any free offers of clothing. We would never discuss the prices paid for individual items – these will remain private between the Duchess and the designers. She will not receive any special clothing budget for the Canada and California tour,” reports the Cut.

She will, however, be taking her stylist, and, as previously reported, bring her trusted hairdresser along for the ride.

On one hand, you must be thinking Kate has an impressive amount of will power to turn down all those fabulous clothes, but on the other, buying the outfits herself out of her own pocket is hardly going to break the royal bank – Ms Middleton does favour high-street clobber over designer, after all.
