Katie Holmes looks fierce on Elle US’s August cover
Talk about perfect timing! Elle US has (we assume unintentionally) hit the nail on the head with its August issue, by nabbing the one and only Katie Holmes for the front cover.
We have no doubts that this issue will fly off the shelves for obvious, non fashion-related reasons, but we actually love this image of Katie regardless; there’s something very powerful about it so huge kudos to Carter Smith for the fine photography.
Katie is wearing trousers by Holmes & Yang, teamed with a Tom Ford top, black braces and a poker straight hairdo with a very fierce fringe. Anyone else liking the subtle ‘wearing the trousers’ thing that’s going on? Whether it’s coincidence or not, it’s very apt and we think it works perfectly with everything that’s going on right now.
Hopefully the editorial pics are just as empowering. You go Katie – girl power and all!
