Uh oh… Gwyneth Paltrow, (well, more specifically the clothes she sells exclusively on her website) is in trouble.

Gwyn’s clothing site Goop.com has come under fire for a range of bikinis designed by Melissa Odabash which is targeted at four to eight year old girls, as it apparently “over-sexualises” children…

“We remain very opposed to the sexualisation of children and of childhood,” said Claude Knight, a spokesperson for Kidscape (a British foundation against child abuse).

“The dangers have been discussed at length, so it is a great pity that such trends continue and that they carry celebrity endorsement.”

Gwyneth’s spokesperson called the comments “absurd”, also adding that “two-piece bathing suits have been worn by young girls for decades”.

Hmm… where do you guys stand? Do you see where Kidscape is coming from, or do you think the backlash is totally unjustified? Let us know your thoughts!
