Missoni to launch lower-priced line?

Is Missoni launching a lower-priced line? You better believe it penny savers!

After the Missoni for Target collection was such a huge success (which is actually a bit of an understatement as it crashed the Target website, remember?) it comes as no surprise to learn that a lower-priced line could be in the works.

Margherita Missoni, the 29-year-old granddaughter of founders Ottavio and Rosita Missoni, told the Wall Street Journal that the brand was keen to launch a more accessible line which would consist of classic but much simpler designs. So, while we probably won’t be able to drape ourselves in a head-to-toe zigzag outfit (d’oh!), it does mean that we will be able to afford a slice of the classic Italian label by way of some “basics with a twist” which is good enough for us!

We don’t know exactly when the new collection will launch or what its new name will be, but Margherita hinted that it could launch alongside the revamped e-commerce site… watch this space!

And it’s a good job we love it!
