Vivienne Westwood’s at Macy’s, launching her signature line with Nine West….

While she gives a decent interview, her responses and comments such as “cause its such a small collection, I imagine, they’ve been made really, really nicely” and “the skirt’s lovely…” give the impression that she had limited input in the design process. Giorgio Armani plays guest editor to The Independent’s “African Issue” on stands today. Half of all revenue made from sales will be donated to the RED initiative, created to help fight aids in Africa.

What’s interesting is the decision to use a black Kate Moss for its front cover, surely an African model such as Alek Wek, Liya Keybede or Iman would have had more significance.

Ruffles and puffed sleeves added a modern Victorian quality and elegance to the loose fitting line accessorised with beanies and platform shoes.

Silk shirts, and parachute dresses were given detail with gathering and layered under sleeveless jackets, blazers and parka’s and over cropped trousers and crocheted leggings.

To close, Rocha walked the runway, cigarette in hand looking effortlessly cool….

With the aid of Sadie Frost, PETA Europe has launched their sexiest ad yet and just in time for another London fashion week. Photographed by Bryan Adams, Sadie is pictured provocatively from behind with the slogan “Turn your back on fur”

“I don’t use fur in my collections”, Sadie explains. “It’s disgusting, and it reminds me of death and blood.” Besides, she adds, “Animal cruelty is always out of fashion”.
