  • The Oscars 2009: Freida Pinto
Not the greatest look for Freida Pinto which is a shame because she’s pulled it out of the bag for all the award ceremonies leading up to the Oscars. The gorgeous actress opted for a one shouldered, long sleeved royal blue gown by John Galliano. Unfortunately the colour isn’t complimentary and the long sleeve adds too much “frump” to the dress. Such a shame…

  • The Oscars 2009: Vanessa Hudgens
We knew someone had to do a hint of floral and had to wear red carpet favourite Marchesa. Vanessa Hudgens did both. While most Hollywood ladies opt for all out bling when they wear Marchesa, Vanessa chose a more toned down black fitted gown, embellished with a floral corsage and complete with a fishtail train. Not sure why, but we could easily picture Penelope Cruz in...

  • The Oscars 2009: Miley Cyrus
Miley Cyrus was one of the first to be scrutinized on the red carpet. Considering she’s only 16, this sparkly gown by Zuhair Murhad accessorized with a butterfly belt and gold clutch, isn’t a bad choice for the teen starlet. The claws will probably be out on this outfit but this is just one of those dresses that pictures and video footage won’t do any justice....

  • The Grammy Awards 2009: The Good, the bad and the ugly!
The Grammy Awards is the one ceremony when stars can let their hair down and don some more interesting creations. It’s also the time when we get to see music stars trying their very best to look as stylish as Oscar nominees. Yes, it’s a mixed bag every year and this year was no exception. The Good Audrina Patridge – Looking like a young Audrey Hepburn, this...

  • Jennifer Connelly steals the show in Balmain
The movie premiere for He’s Just Not That Into You was always going to be a stylish affair. And we were all eager to see who would upstage whom and who should have just stayed at home. With such a glamorous cast I’m surprised it wasn’t handbags at dawn over the premiere frocks, but it would seem only one of them managed to get it right… Jennifer Connelly.

  • Golden Globes 2009: Fashion Round-up (Part 1)
How nice has it been to be able to just shamelessly indulge in red carpet fashion from the Golden Globes? Maybe it’s because we didn’t get the opportunity last year but I’ve loved every minute of it. Expect a more subdued ceremony this year we were told. Well, if “subdued” equals classy, sophisticated and demure then I hope the Oscars are seriously...

  • Red carpet report: The National Television Awards
It was the National Television Awards at the Royal Albert Hall in London on Wednesday night and we were fortunate enough to be amongst the shivering paps lining the red carpet. So after much screaming, scribbling and sniffling, here’s a look at the good, the bad and the darn right misinformed fashion choices from the big night.
