YSL Trib Two Boot: So Good They Named it Again!

by Nicky Branagh on September 1, 2008

Trib Two Boot

When Yves Saint Laurent graced our lives with the Tribute Mary Jane pump, it was as if all of our shoe prayers had been answered. As an avid Christian Louboutin fan, it pains me a little to say, but these were possibly some of the simplest, yet prettiest shoes to adorn the feet of the rich, famous (And let’s face it, down right lucky so and so’s).

Key Items For AW08: The “Cut-Out” Heel

by Michele Obi on August 22, 2008

greencutoutheel_060808.jpg

Tis the season of the “Cut Out heel” – a refreshing change to the summer domination of Gladiator sandals and a welcome adaption of the Booties or “Shoots” (shoe boots) that we were so in love with last autumn/winter.

Designers have gone CRAZY for “cut-outs” and honestly we don’t mind, mainly because they’re a brilliant investment.

Let us enlighten you on the beauty of the cut out shoe; in winter we can pair them with tights…and with all that open air they’re still perfect for next spring/summer.

We’re head over heels for these green Ankle Boots by Betty Jackson (pictured above). £259 available at my-wardrobe.com

See after the jump for more of our favourites!

Comfortable, Classic Cardy Boots: UGG

by Danielle Eccleston on July 28, 2008

Oat, black and grey I could definitely use a pair for everyday. The Classic Cardy Boot, made by the definition of comfort- UGG, are not only easy on your tootsies, they make it easier to get dressed in the morning. The grey is absolutely my favourite. It can be paired with any ensemble- black or brown centric and allows its owner to go about their day in the epitome of comfort.

Tory Burch: How Chunky is too Chunky?

by Danielle Eccleston on July 14, 2008

toryburch150708.jpgCirca 1997 the chunky heel was supporting the majority of female consumers. From there the heel naturally returned to a skinny stiletto and now has returned to its chunky past time. This consumer will buy it…reluctantly.

I understand that certain styles come and go over the years, but this one I cannot fully support. The chunky heel does nothing for me, except add some extra “clonking” noise to each step in my bounce.

Fashion Misstep: Peep-toe boots by Sigerson Morrison

by Lindsay North on April 29, 2008

peeptoes_280408.jpg

I’ve been hunting for a pair of nice flat sandals and given my recent obsession with Barneys, I was browing their selection online when I found these shoes by Sigerson Morrison. All I have to say is that it’s a good thing that Barneys doesn’t deign to break down their shoe selection by category, because I’m not sure if these are boots or sandals. However, I am sure that I don’t like them.
