Kate Moss is “wearing the ultimate tan” as first face and body of St. Tropez

Are there still quite a few months until your beach holiday? Or are you giving your summer vacay a miss this year to save money? Either way, we know that you want a tan and you want it now, and we reckon the best way to go about it is to fake it with a healthy dose of St. Tropez. And getting a golden glow has been made more fashionable than ever, as St. Tropez has tapped the one and only Kate Moss to be its first face and body of the brand. “I’m so excited to be working with St.Tropez,” Kate said in a press release. “I’ve been using the products since they started and it’s a really trustworthy, cool brand. I always feel more confident with a St.Tropez tan!” “Kate epitomises St.Tropez’s naturally glamorous approach to self-tanning and is a long-time advocate of the brand,” said spokesperson Michelle Feeney. “Kate’s fashion icon status is important to us but now her growing number of beauty campaigns proves that her appeal as a beauty icon resonates with confident women across all age groups globally. Not only is she beautiful but she has this amazing attitude. St.Tropez is about confidence.” What do you think of the pictures of Kate “wearing the ultimate tan”? [Images]

Kate Moss fronts British Vogue June as Cara Delevingne covers Miss Vogue’s debut issue

Kate Moss has yet another magazine cover under her belt (and her 32nd one for Vogue, just in case you were counting), as she has is posing pretty on the front of British Vogue’s June cover. Sultry, powerful and gorgeous as always, Miss Moss. She was shot by Patrick Demarchelier, and is the epitome of beach babe with her tousled blonde wavy locks, summery outfit and golden glow. And this month is extra special for the British fashion Bible, as it marks the very first issue of the highly anticipated Miss Vogue. And who better to front it that the one and only Miss Cara Delevingne? “We are delighted to have everybody’s favourite model Cara Delevingne as our inaugural cover star,” said Alexandra Shulman. “Her maverick sense of style and fun is Miss Vogue made physical. Vogue magazine appeals to all ages but I wanted to produce an edition targeted at younger readers, created with your lifestyles in mind.” The debut issue will come free with Kate Moss’s June mag – two blonde bombshells for the price of one, ooh how they like to spoil us!

Kate Moss is fierce in leather for Matchless AW13 ad campaign

It’s no secret that leathers, pleathers and all things rock and grunge are totally on-trend right now, which is why it comes as no surprise to learn that Kate Moss is posing pretty (and fiercely) in some badass pieces for the Matchless autumn/winter 2013 ad campaign. And yes that is Terry Richardson taking the pic! “The campaign reflects the heritage of the brand, which we are excited about sharing with Matchless enthusiasts and consumers alike,” said Michele Malenotti, a spokesperson for the brand. If you’re wondering why this is the first you’ve heard about these exciting new pieces from Britain’s oldest motorcycle brand, it’s because this is the first ever collection of men and women’s outerwear… Kate should feel pretty honoured to model the debut range! Or should it be the other way round? Either way, we think this is a great partnership and we can’t wait to see the full ads when they launch in June. What do you think of the behind-the-scenes pic of Kate and Terry above? [Telegraph] [Image]

Watch Kate Moss read Fifty Shades of Grey for Comic Relief

Happy Red Nose Day – what are you doing to raise money for the wonderful cause that is Comic Relief? Kate Moss has done her part by sitting down and reading a racy extract from the infamous Fifty Shades of Grey book. She lucked out, as the text was nowhere near as saucy as it potentially could have been… but that doesn’t mean she didn’t cringe and feel embarrassed while reading it. Bless her; we think she did a cracking job though. Watch the video below to see Mossy, i.e the Silent Supermodel, in action. Don’t forget to tune in to BBC 1 tonight from 7pm to see all the fundraising action, which includes Jessie J shaving her head to raise money for the charity. Get donating!

Kate Moss for Playboy?

Brit supermodel Kate Moss is no stranger to getting her kit off in front of the cameras, so the rumours that Playboy Magazine has snapped her up to front its milestone 60th anniversary issue doesn’t really surprise us. Especially when we look at that very daring outfit she wore in Paris just a matter of days ago… The 39-year-old will reportedly be shooting with renowned fashion photography duo Mert Alas and Marcus Piggott in London later this month, but the issue isn’t due to hit newsstands until January next year, so there’s a bit of a wait. Do you think Kate Moss is a good choice for what is bound to be a very iconic issue, or do you think the honour should have gone to someone else? Someone American, perhaps? [Daily Mail]

Love or Hate: Kate Moss’s racy, sparkly catsuit

Kate Moss regularly divides opinion as far as her lifestyle is concerned, but this time it’s her wardrobe that is coming under potential scrutiny. The iconic supermodel attended Carine Roitfeld’s cocktail party in quite an interesting ensemble, comprising of a see-through shimmery, sparkly catsuit, with a playsuit underneath and a blazer on top to cover (some of) her modesty. Is this appropriate attire for a 39-year old? Or for a mother? Would you be mortified if you could see your mum’s bum cheeks hanging out, regardless of how hot, famous and successful she is? We know that Kate still has the body to pull most things off, but does that mean she has a free pass to wear whatever she wants? We admire her bravery and dedication to standing out from the crowd… and although we can’t resist a bit of sparkle, we don’t think this is one of Mossy’s finest sartorial moments. What do you guys think? Is she bedazzling, or did she hit a bum note? [poll id-“395”]

W taps Kate Moss, Lara Stone and Natalia Vodianova for its March issue

W Magazine is really spoiling us for its March issue, as it’s tapped three of the hottest supermodels of the moment to appear on the individual covers. A line-up of hot and successful supers wouldn’t be complete without Kate Moss, so it’s no surprise that she was selected for the big fashion issue. Yummy mummy-to-be Lara Stone and the gorgeous Natalia Vodianova were also chosen – and if you see the pics at the bottom, it looks like it was the right decision to use all three. The girls were each photographed by Mert and Marcus, and can be seen modelling vivid pieces from the likes of Prada, Burberry and YSL. They’re also rocking some bold feline eyes and powerful red lippy which only add to the intensity and drama. We’re in love! Picking a favourite is a little bit tricky… we’re going to be diplomatic and stay out of it on this occasion, but we still want to hear your thoughts.

Kate Moss lands four covers for i-D’s ‘Alphabetical issue’

i-D and Kate Moss collectively have a lot to celebrate. Not only has our Croydon supermodel spent a whopping 25 years in fashion, but she’s spent 20 of those years in a very happy relationship with the magazine in question. So what better way to celebrate this epic milestone than to give her not one (two, or even three) but four covers… talk about an honour! Mossy was photographed by Daniele & Iango and styled by Charlotte Stockdale, obviously wearing some of the hottest pieces from the latest spring/summer 2013 collections in the process. We love how Kate is portrayed in a youthful and somewhat innocent manner (even while topless with nothing but an oversized bow to protect her modesty) which we reckon is a bit of a reflection on how long she’s been in the biz for. A great concept – we’re going to have a hard time picking out a favourite. Which one will you buy? Head to the website to check out even more pics.

Kate Moss’s Rag & Bone SS13 shoot in the Cotswolds

It’s hard to believe that Kate Moss celebrated her 39th birthday a few weeks ago – especially if we’re looking at the brand new images from Rag & Bone’s spring/summer 2013 ad campaign. The British supermodel was photographed by Alasdair McLellan, and looks just as fresh-faced as she did when she first started out. That is partially to do with the styling though – there’s a definite nod to the nineties in there (check the shoes!) so forgive us for getting a tad nostalgic. One thing we love about the campaign is how true the founders Marcus Wainwright and David Neville have stayed to their brand. The pair originate from London, which is why shooting in the Cotswolds with one of London’s most famous supermodels is a pretty nice touch. So are the androgynous pieces that creep into the womenswear line, as the brand originally launched as a menswear line back in the day. Pretty interesting stuff! We thought the autumn/winter 2012 ads were beautiful, and these ones are just as stunning – it wouldn’t be the worst thing in the world if Kate continued as the face of the brand for a few more seasons. Kate Moss, Joan Smalls and Daria Werbowy smoulder for Versace’s SS13 campaign

What’s dark, bronzed, sultry, sexy and somewhat overly-Photoshopped? Why that would be the brand spanking new Versace ad campaign. The spring/summer 2013 ads were shot by the legendary Mert Alas and Marcus Piggott, and feature an all-star cast consisting of Brit supermodel queen Kate Moss, Joan Smalls and Daria Werbowy. “To have three glamorous and iconic women like Kate, Daria and Joan in one campaign is not an easy feat,” Donatella Versace said. “Mert and Marcus really outdid themselves, each image is composed like a work of art.” The ladies and their very impressive bronzed, toned bodies can be seen posing seductively on a beach setting in some bold, bright and attention-grabbing pieces from the Italian fashion House’s latest collection. They look like true Roman goddesses, and of course the gladiator boys are also looking pretty heavenly too. A very drool-inducing campaign for both male and female fashion fans alike. What do you make of them? [Sassi Sam]

Kate Moss turns X Factor stylist?

We all know that the contestants’ wardrobes are just as an important part of the  X Factor as the singing. Therefore it shouldn’t surprise you to learn that Simon Cowell and the team are pulling out all the stops to ensure the 10-year anniversary series this year will be something special. And there’s no one better than ultimate British supermodel Kate Moss to guarantee that, is there? Instead of parading up and down a makeshift catwalk on the show though, Mossy will reportedly be getting involved behind the scenes, as she will act as stylist to the contestants for one very special Britpop week of the live shows. Sounds pretty cool! “The one-off special is about the show being more than just music,” a source reportedly told Grazia. “He wants Kate talking about her memories, outfits she wore in the 90s and dressing some of the contestants. Kate is definitely up for the challenge. “Simon is absolutely desperate to breathe life back into X Factor. He knows he has to change everything from the judges to the sets to the contestants themselves, but he also wants each show to contain something never seen or done before, something he calls: ‘Blow your pants off moments.’” We hope Kate doesn’t interpret that too literally when she’s styling the contestants. We are giddy with excitement at the thought of Kate Moss being let loose in wardrobe. Are you looking forward to it?

Kate Moss reunites with Naomi Campbell for topless Interview cover

It’s been a few months since they strutted their stuff for the Olympics Closing Ceremony, so we bet Naomi Campbell and Kate Moss were looking forward to their next joint modelling gig. The iconic supermodels are posing up a storm on the front cover of the latest issue of Interview Russia, and just in case you haven’t noticed, they are in fact topless. We don’t think anyone would bat an eyelid these days though, as this isn’t the first topless shoot either of the girls has done – and it probably won’t be the last either. Despite appearing at the Closing Ceremony together, the cover picture – which was shot by the legends that are Mert Alas and Marcus Piggott – is their first one together since a Vogue Paris shoot back in 2008! Let’s hope they don’t leave it another four years for their next joint modelling venture. Do you like the Interview Russia cover? Meet Kate Moss in London tomorrow!

Londoners, listen up. If you’ve always wanted to meet and greet Kate Moss, i.e. one of the greatest supermodels of our time, then this is your chance. Our Croydon gal will be signing copies of her brand new book Kate: The Kate Moss Book at the Marc Jacobs Bookmarc store in Mayfair tomorrow from 5pm to 7pm. She may arrive fashionably late in true supermodel style, but then again she may surprise us, so we advise you get there early to get a good place in the queue and make sure you don’t miss out. At the risk of sounding like Mum, get some hot chocolate in you beforehand and wrap up warm! And of course it isn’t just Londoners who are invited to come along, as we bet some dedicated fans will be travelling far and wide to get a chance to meet Mossy in the flesh and snap up her book before anyone else. Pics of 14-year-old Kate Moss up for auction

Has Kate Moss’s gorgeous daughter Lila Grace stepped into her famous mother’s footsteps? No – not quite, as the picture you see before you is in fact Kate Moss circa 1988. Still as stunning as ever, right? Some beautiful images of a fresh-faced, 14-year-old Mossy have emerged for the first time, and better still – they’re going under the hammer! A selection of signed pictures taken by David Ross back in in the 80s will be auctioned off as part of Bloomsbury Auction’s Photograph sale which is due to take place on November 23rd. “She seemed like a tough or resilient typical teenager, comfortably fronting me up, perhaps covering up her nerves,” the photographer said. “I suppose what was refreshing was that she was honest. She wasn’t trying to prove anything or act above her station. “She didn’t try to adopt a model attitude of self-absorption and superiority, which at the time was becoming public via media sensation. She was untarnished. A blank canvas, as other writers have put it.” Each pic is estimated to fetch between £800 and £1,200, although we wouldn’t be surprised if they go for more. We’ll keep you posted on their progress! [Daily Mail]

Kate Moss talks panic attacks and Johnny Depp heartbreak in Vanity Fair December

Those of you who think Kate Moss is just a dim supermodel, think again because things get pretty deep and personal in the December issue of Vanity Fair. Our Croydon gal talks openly about her younger days, including breaking up with Johnny Depp, posing nude, her breasts, and more. She also talks about how her iconic Calvin Klein ad with Mark Wahlberg caused her to have a nervous breakdown… “I had a nervous breakdown when I was 17 or 18, when I had to go and work with Marky Mark,” she said. “ It didn’t feel like me at all. I felt really bad about straddling this buff guy. I didn’t like it. I couldn’t get out of bed for two weeks. I thought I was going to die. “I went to the doctor, and he said, ‘I’ll give you some Valium,’ and Francesca Sorrenti, thank God, said, ‘You’re not taking that.’ It was just anxiety. Nobody takes care of you mentally. There’s a massive pressure to do what you have to do.” Who knew? Still, we’re glad that didn’t put Kate off the industry, as she’s now one of the most in-demand models of our time. You only need to look at the magazine cover for proof! We love you Kate; we can’t wait to read this issue! [Styleite]

Kate Moss showcases Mango’s autumn/winter 2012 collection

If these pictures of Kate Moss are anything to go by, we reckon we’re definitely going to be splashing our cash in Mango these next few months. The high street brand has once again enlisted the help of our fave blonde Croydon supermodel to model the autumn/winter 2012 collection, and once again, she’s done a cracking job! Kudos to the hair and make-up department too, as we’re loving the rock ‘n’ roll inspired dishevelled hair and heavily lined eyes! There are some gorgeous sparkly pieces on offer that no party-season wardrobe could do without, as well as some cosy, chunky knits to help us battle the British weather in style. The outerwear is also particularly beautiful this season, making us almost wish that the winter chill would get here a bit sooner. We said almost! What do you think of the collection so far? Anything catch your eye? Make sure you check out the video below to see even more looks from the new collection – with lots of wind-machine-aided hair swishing to make Willow Smith proud!

Proof that there really is only one Kate Moss!

You only have to read My Fashion Life for a week or so to know that we are quite fond of our home girl Kate Moss, but it turns out we aren’t the only ones who think she’s special! Alison Jackson, who famously takes pictures of celebrity lookalikes (previous ones have included Victoria Beckham and Kate Middleton!) has mentioned to The Evening Standard that she is finding it increasingly difficult to find someone to impersonate the supermodel. “We’re looking for a Kate Moss body double, but it’s very difficult to find anyone of her shape,” she said. “Kate has the perfect configuration, everything’s perfect. How do you find that? Some people have the torso, some the legs, but, so far, no one has the full package.” We always knew Kate was one of a kind, and this has well and truly confirmed it! Do you know anyone who is a dead ringer for Kate Moss? If you do, perhaps you could persuade them to seek out Alison Jackson… [Telegraph] [Image]

Kate Moss returns for Liu Jo jeans and womenswear

Yesterday we showed you Kate Moss posing in the streets of London for Rag & Bone’s first ever ad campaign, and now it’s time to see her reprise her role as the face of Liu Jo jeans and womenswear in some gorgeous pics shot by Inez & Vinoodh. As much as we like the fact that our fave Croydon girl is back for yet another campaign, we had to do a bit of a double take as some of these images don’t really look like the supermodel we know and love… the re-touchers got a bit too Photoshop happy, don’t you think? Still, Kate’s cracking supermodel body is still very much evident in these ad campaign images, which is a ruddy good job seeing as she is promoting jeans and womenswear. Granted we probably won’t look as good as Kate in the clothes,  but it’s always nice to strive for perfection! Don’t forget to watch the behind-the-scenes video below too and watch Kate work it! Kate Moss poses for Rag & Bone’s first ever ad campaign in London

And now from a young, up and coming model to one of the classics… To coincide with Rag & Bone’s first European store in London’s Sloane Street, David Neville and Marcus Wainwright have tapped our very own Kate Moss to star in the store’s first ever ad campaign, which was shot by Craig McDean. Enlisting the help of one of Britain’s finest supermodels definitely a good way to create some buzz around the new store opening – and choosing to shoot the campaign on the streets of London was genius! “It wasn’t in a studio; it was just them on a derelict London street – Kate with minimal makeup, and Craig with a handheld camera and natural light,” Marcus Wainwright said. And don’t forget, Rag & Bone will be showing at London Fashion Week for the first time ever this September, so keep your eyes peeled! [WWD]

Kate Moss gets her own coffee table book

Kate Moss has dominated the news section of My Fashion Life this week, but we like it – it’s been quiet on the Kate front these past few months so it’s nice to have our home girl back! The blonde supermodel is the subject of a brand new coffee table book, rather aptly entitled Kate: The Kate Moss Book (how ever did they come up with that?!) and will  be dedicated to her work over the past 20 years. It’s been edited by Dazed and Confused editor (and father to Kate’s daughter Lila) Jefferson Hack and casting director Jess Hallet. Kate has reportedly selected the images that will be used in the book herself, some of which were taken by the like of Terry Richardson (natch), Mario Testino and Karl Lagerfeld. She must have  one heck of a portfolio – we can’t wait to see it! We’re still waiting with baited breath for her to release a tell-all autobiography; there’s no sign of that yet but we’re not giving up home. We predict it could become as popular as good old Fifty Shades of Grey!  [Telegraph]

WATCH Kate Moss in George Michael’s White Light video (full version!)

As promised yesterday, here is Kate Moss doing her supermodel thang in George Michael’s music video for his brand new single White Light. It was reportedly inspired by George Michael’s recent brush with death, after suffering from a bad case of pneumonia earlier this year. In the video, it looks like his fate is in Kate Moss’s hands, as she determines whether he will live or die with the flip of a coin. Dark stuff! But we think both Kate and George look great, and the video has definitely lived up to the hype in our opinion. Watch it for yourself to see if you agree!

We have a very sneaky peek at Kate Moss appearing in George Michael’s video for his brand new single White Light – and it’s definitely whet our appetite for the entire thing. George Michael’s video premieres tomorrow, so you haven’t got long to wait to see Mossy in action!

Kate Moss for the Salvatore Ferragamo autumn/winter 2012 ad campaign

Oof, we love a good Kate Moss ad campaign. At least, we think it’s a Kate Moss ad campaign. In fact we only really knew it was a Kate Moss ad campaign because of the very helpful title over at WWD – otherwise we would have been guessing for hours. Ok, you get the picture – we do think the images are a tad over-airbrushed but we won’t hold a grudge for too long because the gorgeous clothes and accessories on display are distracting us rather nicely. Kate Moss joins Karmen Pedaru in the brand new Salvatore Ferragamo autumn/winter 2012 ad campaign images, and the girls are showcasing some of our true highlights of the collection we saw on the runway back in February. Plus we adore the braid in Kate’s hair! The ads were shot by Mikael Jansson at the Russian Embassy in Berlin, and you can expect to see them drop in September. Ya like?

Kate Moss to appear in George Michael’s new video?

Our fave Croydon girl Kate Moss is turning into quite the little actress these days, isn’t she? Not content with making us chuckle on the Absolutely Fabulous Sport Relief special earlier this year (and impressing Jennifer Saunders so much that she wants a piece of Mossy in the movie version too), Kate is apparently all over George Michael too. Not literally speaking of course. At least, we don’t think so anyway… The singer wants Kate to make a cameo appearance in his White Light video – although she will apparently have to share the screen with a zebra. Interesting… still, it worked for Katy Perry  so we think it’ll be a breeze for a supermodel of Kate’s calibre. We hope this will make up for Kate missing out on joining Naomi Campbell, Linda Evangelista and Cindy Crawford in the Freedom video back in the nineties. We’re definitely excited by this; are you?

Love or Hate: Kate Moss’s BFA fishnet dress

So we’ve rounded up the winners and we’ve concluded the best dressed – there’s just one thing we’re yet to make our mind up on, and that’s Kate Moss’s fishnet dress. The mysterious creation that, at time of publishing, no even the savviest of editors can can seem to place, was made up of a nude slip with a long sleeved black net overlay, complete with solid cuffs and a skirt that fluted out at the feet with another solid velvet hem. So here’s our thoughts: minus the sleeves, it could be quite elegant. It’s got the rock ‘n’ roll edge that’s signature Kate, and it’s got a glam-gloth thing going on that, given Moss’s inherent coolness, looks kinda hot. Here’s our concern, though – isn’t it a bit, you know, fetish? And doesn’t it look kind of harsh? We want to know what you think. Does she look like a mysterious mermaid or a bad catch?
