Watch and listen to the Victoria’s Secret Angels speak in their mother tongues!

Victoria’s Secret may have got in trouble for that American Indian outfit, but no one can accuse the brand of not being multicultural. The Angels who walked in the prestigious annual Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show a few weeks ago hailed from 16 different countries – and five continents – which we think is a pretty impressive statistic! To celebrate the sexy, diverse mix of ethnicities and cultures, the Angels have decided to embrace their mother tongues by promoting the CBS stream of the show in their own languages. Google Translate is going to be working very hard today! Some of the countries that the gorgeous Angels come from include China, Latvia, Holland, Angola, Brazil (no prizes for guessing which Angels come from Brazil…), England (hello Jourdan Dunn!) and of course the good old US of A. Hear Doutzen Kroes, Alessandra Ambrosio and more Angels impress you with their bilingual skills in the video below…

What happened at the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show 2012…

Here it is guys, the post you’ve been waiting so patiently for… the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show 2012 details and pictures! Classic Victoria’s Secret Angel Adriana Lima – who only gave birth a few months ago if you can believe it – kicked off the show by stepping out onto the beautifully decorated catwalk first. An abundance of the most gorgeous, sexiest and expertly selected models then followed her lead until newbie Toni Garrn eventually closed the show once all the Angels and singers had done their thing. And speaking of singers… Bajan sauce-pot Rihanna, Justin Bieber and Bruno Mars provided the musical entertainment for the evening, while Alessandra Ambrosio was given the honour of showcasing this year’s Fantasy bra. What do you think of her efforts below? And as we mentioned earlier this week, this year saw the Victoria’s Secret debut of two of our favourite young British models Cara Delevingne and Jourdan Dunn. We think they did a cracking job bringing a touch of Britishness to the proceedings, and we love how they showcased young, fun and quirky clothes as opposed to just lingerie. Karlie Kloss, who made her VS debut last year, looked like she had been walking on the Victoria’s Secret runway all her life, showcasing a variety of different, diverse but very sexy looks. We can’t get enough of her, and it’s not hard to see why the modelling world can’t either. And obviously all of the classic Victoria’s Secret Angels were present too, with the likes of Miranda Kerr, Candice Swanepoel, Erin Heatherton, Lily Aldridge and Doutzen Kroes being just some of the familiar faces making an appearance. Not only was the show an ultra-glamorous affair, but it was also a pretty charitable one too, as Victoria’s Secret and CBS reportedly donated $1 million […]

London Fashion Week SS13 – Highlights from Day 2

Fashion, much like the city it’s currently creating a next season buzz in, never sleeps, and so it was on to day 2 of London Fashion Week. It was a super-busy day for us, zapping around what felt like the whole of London (in heels, too!), but it was the summer inspo for next season that kept us going. Oh, and tons of caffeine! Here are the show highlights from day 2 of London Fashion Week… Who:Tahir Sultan What: Marrying glamour with a everyday aesthetic, for SS’13, designer Tahir Sultan embellished beautifully fluid suits with studs, as to form a spine down the wearers back. Soft knits embellished with chain detailing; zingy pink and lime particularly caught our eye, paired with soft grey and charcoal hued structured blazers. Much emphasis was given to dressing below the waist, with colour-pop harem pants, Forties-inspired wide-leg trouser, and a show-stopping fringed skirt, paired with a blazer and emerald green heels, added after-hours drama to daytime dressing. Highlight: A black, low-tiered evening gown with feather and beaded fringing detail. To summarise: A collection “dedicated to the secret few who know that nothing is more fashionable than just being yourself” certainly justified the underlying ease and freedom that shone through the glamorous silhouettes. Who: Jeffrey Michael What: The collection titled “From the Water” looked to “a woman emerging from the waves and seafoam at midnight” took a fun-injected approach to the aquatic theme evident in the spring/summer 2012 collections. A colour palette of bubblegum pink, purple and ocean blue came with 3D fish-gill like detailing on dress corsets. Jeffrey Michael’s signature triangle print was fashioned to resemble scales, splashed across cropped halter necks and strapless bodies; a stunning corset embellished entirely with sea shells left us speechless, and flippy pleated skirts completed the look. Highlight: Faux […]

There is: Liya Kebede, Natalia Vodianova, Anna Jagodzinska, Isabeli Fontana, Lara Stone, Jourdan Dunn, Raquel Zimmermann, Caroline Trentini and Natasha Poly.

London Fashion Week: Twenty8Twelve AW09

Twenty8Twelve was always going to be a wearable collection. Anyone who hoped otherwise must be sorely disappointed. But those who knew what to expect should be happy indeed. For their debut at London Fashion Week, Sienna and Savannah Miller delivered a collection of skinny jeans, tiny leather biker jackets, loose jersey tops, cropped trousers, tailored coats and a very sexy sparkly mini-dress as modelled by Jourdan Dunn. Boring? Perhaps. Actually yes. The truth is while many fashionista’s including myself could snap up many of the basics from the collection, this could easily have been an offering from Topshop.

London Fashion Week: Betty Jackson AW09

This year marks the 25th anniversary of London Fashion Week, a celebration of British designers which began in an Olympia car park and included a presentation from the legendary Betty Jackson. A quarter of a century later Jackson told London Fashion Week Daily that the British Fashion Council’s event “wasn’t all slick and fabulous like it is now.” These days however, Betty Jackson’s show is both slick and fabulous.  Her AW09 collection was a dream from start to finish and the lyrics drifting up over the transfixed crowd echoed my sentiments exactly: “I’m in love.”

Luella the magazine: The plot thickens

We very recently reported that fashion journalist turned designer Luella Bartley is launching her very own bi-annual magazine, but is she?! Handbag.com has just confirmed that the entire concept is a hoax and that includes the front cover starring Jourdan Dunn. Speaking to Handbag.com, a spokesperson for Luella confirmed that the cover is a fake: “The rumours are simply not true. There is no Luella magazine. We keep telling people that it’s not happening but they run with the story anyway. It just goes to show that people will believe anything that they read.” This is most disappointing, but with so much hype it wouldn’t be surprising if Luella decided to launch the magazine, after all she now knows it’d be a sure fire hit. So go on Luella, please!

Red Carpet: Goodbye Gowns?

Is it the demise of the gown? Big-time fashion and film events like the Oscars, Golden Globes, the Met gala and now Cannes have made gowns an almost de rigueur fashion choice for all of the A-listers present. Yet recently, some ladies have dared to be different and have sported ultra-glam dresses that show more than a little leg.

Fashion Charts: 5 things going up, and 5 things going down this month

Going up Festival beauty: Suddenly, we’re all raving in fields and bubblegum blue mascara is perfectly acceptable. Festival season’s taking over, but it does come with its downfalls. Lack of hot showers and long queues for toilets can bring out the worst in use, but there isn’t much that pink semi-permanent hair colour, bright eye shadow and feather lashes can’t sort out. Transatlantic takeovers: On a non-fashion note, we can’t help but feel proud of the American intervention we’ve recently experienced. From J-Lo’s raunchy antics on Britain’s Got Talent to Alicia Keys taking her adorable son to a theme park in the Midlands and Mila Kunis and Ashton Kutcher’s secretive pub dates. And then there’s Jessie J, debuting her delicious new look (oh, that bod!) in the video for her latest video Wild, featuring Big Sean and Dizzee Rascal. Fashion’s future: Graduate Fashion Week is nearly coming to a close, and the idea of seeing fresh, emerging talent taking its first steps into this challenging industry is exciting. With over 1,000 BA fashion graduates from 40 UK colleges showing their collections, alongside students from 16 universities around the world including Parsons and FIT, in New York, will the next Christopher Bailey or Stella McCartney be discovered? The two most famous Ks: One’s a certified royal, and the other is also part of an establishment better know as the Kardashians. Both are due to give birth pretty soon and we can’t wait to see Kate Middleton cooing over the royal tot’s frilly hat, and how many diamonds will adorn Kimye’s daughter’s cot. Blue Ivy, who? High Street denim takeover: Yes, that’s right. Although it’s not earth shattering news, it is when the high street’s most cost effective name takes on a dot com domain! Asos will become the newest home for […]

Rosie Huntington-Whitely for Agent Provocateur: A very sexy warning

For anyone who has every forgotten Valentine’s Day and are thinking of making the same mistake this year, you might want to think again. At least for the sake of your face. Yes, Agent Provocateur is at it again with another controversial ad campaign, this time it’s a warning to all men to forget Valentine’s at their peril. A short film entitled Love Me Tender…Or Else sees model of the moment Rosie Huntington-Whiteley being fobbed off by her boyfriend on Valentine’s. Rosie then appears at the boyfriend’s office dressed in a trench, heels and the sexiest lingerie around. She then delivers a lap dance, the finale is however less straightforward, if you don’t want to know the end please look away now: She punches him in the face. The scene ends with Rosie speaking the fateful words: “This will teach you to forget Valentine’s Day. We shouldn’t be surprised, Kate Moss sauntered around in suspenders, Maggie Gyllenhaal stripped, Kylie Minogue rode a bucking broncho and Peaches Geldof took part in some form of virgin sacrifice campaign. Yet, I can’t help but feel slightly shocked by the violence involved in this latest offering. Is it harmless, sexy fun? Or have they gone a step to far? Watch for yourself: Love me tender… or else
