Cara Delevingne scores DKNY SS13 ad campaign

When you think of the young, care-free, super-stylish and utterly gorgeous woman, Cara Delevingne would never be too far from your thoughts, right? This is why we think her appointment as the new face of DKNY’s spring/summer 2013 couldn’t have been more appropriate. Ok there’s the small matter of Cara being a Brit rather than a New Yorker, but we don’t think anyone’s going to mind. Besides, Dutch beauty Lara Stone has proven that you won’t have to hail from the Big Apple to make an impression on the DKNY brand and all its loyal fans. DKNY’s spring/summer 2013 offering gives us everything we want from an ad campaign. It showcases an abundance of looks, is season-specific, and never strays far from the true essence of the brand. You’d never know that 20-year-old Cara wasn’t your average all-American girl, would you? Now do you think it’s too late to ask Santa for the bright green handbag? [Fashion Etc]

Cara Delevingne recreates Scream moments for DSquared2

We know you’ve had a long week, so take 1 minute and 57 seconds for yourself, sit back, and watch this glorious video of Cara Delevingne star in DSquared2’s abridged version of the 1996 film, Scream. Cara was filmed by Senio Zaprider for the Ultimate Scream video to promote pieces from the new DSquared2 Resort collection… and promote the pieces she certainly did! The video features flash shot after flash shot of Cara posing by a payphone Thelma and Louise style, which we think pretty much showcases the entire collection! We do feel it should come with one of those photosensitive epilepsy warnings though… We think this is a great video to showcase the grungy, 90s theme of the collection, and Cara Delevingne in all her bushy-eye-browed glory was the perfect choice of model, as was the Stefano Riva remixed Scream Miami playing in the background. In the highly unlikely event of modelling not working out for her, Cara should totally do a Rosie Huntington Whiteley and turn her talents to acting, because we think she’s pretty good at it. Her “shocked face” and American accent are really quite convincing! What do you guys reckon?

Grace Coddington, Cara Delevingne and Lara Stone for i-D’s winter issue

The wait is over – all eight covers of i-D’s latest issue have finally been released, and as usual there’s a nice versatile mix of famous faces on the front cover. The cover stars for the winter edition, otherwise known as “the wise up issue”, include yummy-mummy-to-be Lara Stone, model-of-the-moment Cara Delevingne, Arizona Muse, and of course the legendary American Vogue Creative Director Grace Coddington. But we think you knew that already –how can anyone not recognise that iconic barnet? While we think all the cover stars are beautiful in their own way, there’s something about Ms Coddington and her cobalt blue coat from Céline that has us hooked. We think we know which cover we’ll be picking up when it hits the shelves tomorrow… how about you? Head to the official i-D website to check out all eight cover stars; which one will you be getting?

Cara Delevingne and Jourdan Dunn to make Victoria’s Secret debut

We know that Cara Delevingne has had an epic run during Fashion Month for the spring/summer 2013 season, with best pal Jourdan Dunn not too far behind her, but there’s one catwalk the pair haven’t yet conquered: the Victoria’s Secret one. Until now that is… Word on the blogosphere is that the two British besties will walk in the annual Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show for the first time in their careers – and we doubt it’ll be the last time either. Other models expected to feature in the show include Miranda Kerr, Candice Swanepoel, Karlie Kloss, Adriana Lima and Alessandra Ambrosio, who was of course given the honour of modelling this year’s $2.5 million Fantasy bra. The show will take place in New York this week – November 7th to be exact – and will be broadcast all around the world in December. Is there a better Christmas present? [Telegraph] [Image]

Cara Delevingne does Little Bo Peep for Chanel Resort

Looks like 20-year-old model of the moment Cara Delevingne has yet another ad campaign under her belt, and we think this one’s going to take pride of place in her portfolio as it’s for the one and only Chanel! Bookings don’t come more exclusive and coveted than that, right? We love Chanel’s spin on the whole Anna Karenina meets Little Bo Peep look; it’s still very fitting for the period as far as the frills, hats and feathers are concerned, but we don’t think anyone in the 18th Century paraded around topless. Not even Downton Abbey could get away with that. We bet men would watch a lot more costume dramas if that was the case though! And the ad campaigns show a much softer side to the collection which was initially styled with rock-chick, punky accessories. Click here to refresh your memories! What do you think of Cara Delevingne’s Chanel moment?

Cara Delevingne embraces her youth for Terry Richardson and i-D’s pre-fall issue

We’re used to seeing young models looking older than their years as they pose seductively for photoshoots, but not in this case. In a really refreshing twist, i-D’s pre-fall issue (the covers of which were all shot by Terry Richardson) is all about looking “youthful” – and features some of our fave young models looking just that! Burberry girl Cara Delevingne is looking like a regular all-American teenager as she strikes an unassuming pose with a baseball cap, casual loose-fitting clothes, extremely natural, barely-there make-up and a winning, care-free smile! The other models who individually grace the cover of the magazine’s “Just Kids” issue are Charlotte Free and Kelly Mitttendorf, who also pose with their respective youthful props. We’re definitely snapping up a copy of this mag, although we haven’t quite decided what cover to choose yet. Any suggestions? [Fashion Gone Rogue]

Thanks, Cara! 5 Alternative wedding looks inspired by Queen Delevingne

She may be a blue-blooded beauty hailing from the upper echelons of high society, but there’s no taming Cara Delevingne’s wild side – not even on sister Poppy’s wedding day! The British runway queen looked every inch the beautiful bridesmaid for her sister’s big day a few weeks back, donning a virginal white Chanel dress; but she still managed to break free from the clichéd bride brigade and put her own stamp on the look. And it’s Cara’s fashion rule-breaking spirit that has inspired our round-up of alternative wedding looks to sport at your next guest invite. Even though her outfit was a wispy affair, Cara’s scraped back hair, heavily kohled eyes and lack of accessories brought a grittier edge to this pretty look. Keep the base (dress) ultra-feminine, but go for specific detail – be it the makeup, hair or embellishment – that sets your look apart. Click below to shop our round-up of pretty-but-gritty wedding party dresses, and put your own stamp on them, Cara-style! 1. Adam Lippes crepe and pleated chiffon dress, £1,065, available at Net-a-Porter: Although pretty on the outset, this pleated dress begs to be styled with edge. Add black, statement ankle-strap heels or a blingin’ ear cuff to take it to the next level. 2. Lava tunic dress by TFNC, £32, available ar Topshop: We’re diggin’ the sleeve detail on this dress. How about a strong lip and matching lace veil, à la Beyoncé at the Met Gala? 3. Paul & Joe Frivole printed silk-blend gauze dress, £985, available at Net-a-Porter: The floral print is the winning factor with this dress – we’d add nothing else to enhance it. 4. Drop waist beaded mini dress, £399, available at Karen Millen: Statement makers will love this graphic number, to shake things up at the next ‘I do’ they witness. Just add […]

Get Poppy Delevingne’s printed Topshop look

Cara Delevingne isn’t the only one in her family to love a bit of Topshop. Her newlywed older sis Poppy Delevingne can’t seem to get enough of the high street store either, as she was spotted out and about in London in a stunning summery midi skirt that will only set you back £38. Impressive stuff! Channel Poppy by teaming yours with a pair of zebra print heels and a casual white tee for that effortless “I’m just minding my own business but look how fabulous I am” look. Ps: wouldn’t a Poppy/Cara joint Topshop ad campaign be absolutely perfect? Poppy Delevingne’s final Vero Moda ad campaign (pics & vid!)

It’s the end of an era; Poppy Delevingne has shot her last ad campaign for Vero Moda, and we have the final pics and video right here for you to glance at. Cara Delevingne’s older sis replaced Alexa Chung as the face of Vero Moda a year ago, and has done a cracking job modelling the beautiful new-season pieces. “We are very proud of this final shoot with Poppy,” said Katja Hundrup, a spokesperson for the brand. “It has really been a great year; she has been a pleasure to work with, and that is clearly visible in every single image of this campaign I feel that the good vibes from every shoot and the strong idea behind mixing architectural lines with fashion and femininity come together beautifully in this campaign.” We totally get why the Vero Moda gang are pleased with Poppy’s efforts, as she looks incredible posing in some of the shiny new pieces. There’s definitely a fair few party-appropriate pieces for the festive season in there. We’re going to miss you Popps – any clues on who the next Vero Moda girl might be? Poppy Delevingne wows in Erdem and Coach during LFW

Her younger sis has been dominating the catwalks of London Fashion Week these past five days, but that doesn’t mean Poppy Delevingne is going to fade into the background any time soon, oh no. Cara Delevingne’s older sister is walking, talking, living proof that good looks and impeccable style seem to run in the family, with her latest look during London Fashion Week proving our point quite nicely. The gorgeous blonde managed to look feminine, elegant and quirky all in one go as she attended the Erdem spring/summer 2014 show wearing a stunning dress from the designer’s latest Resort collection, and accessorising with Cara approved oversized sparkly DSquared2 sunnies and a handy black Coach cross-body bag. Fun, practical, season-appropriate… what’s not to love?

Poppy Delevingne is Glam & Soul personified for Thomas Sabo AW13

It’s not surprising to find out Thomas Sabo has asked Poppy Delevingne back for another season of modelling – the pic above speaks volumes! Cara Delevingne’s older sis is posing for Thomas Sabo’s autumn/winter 2013 collection which is entitled Glam & Soul – an apt name, if ever there was one – and explained a little about the new range… “The theme throughout the AW13 collection is love,” Poppy said. “Simply irresistible golden feathers are symbols of a very hippie, romantic, almost ethereal love while beautifully designed Love knots reflect a never ending, truly romantic love story. “Funky, flexible teddy bears add the extra but charming sparkle and a largely collection of eye-catching dazzling rings – the eternal symbol of love – in any colour, shape and design. There is something here for everyone.” The Thomas Sabo Glam & Soul collection will be available to buy from jewellers and online from August , so keep your eyes peeled for it! [Sassi Sam]

Poppy Delevingne dazzles in Mary Katrantzou jumpsuit

Cara Delevingne’s gorgeous older sister Poppy showcased her style credentials when she arrived at the Vogue ‘Triple Threats’ dinner wearing a loud and proud Mary Katrantzou jumpsuit. She totally owned the look if you ask us, with her side-swept hair effortlessly sweeping her shoulders and her bold red lippie adding even more vibrant colour to the ensemble. Those Delevingne sisters really are on fire! We don’t think this jumpsuit is for everyone though – for starters the trouser lengths would need serious adjusting, as us slightly more vertically challenged fashionistas might struggle with them. We would however recommend for something this colourful and daring for anyone wanting to make a serious style statement. That’s exactly what Poppy Delevinge did, and look how well her fashion risk turned out! [Image]

First look at Poppy Delevingne for Vero Moda

In case you needed more proof that the Delevingne sisters are taking over the fashion world, feast your eyes on Poppy Delevingne modelling for Vero Moda. We know her younger sister Cara Delevingne is all over the catwalks, billboards and magazine pages right now, but 26-year-old Poppy doesn’t seem to be doing too bad either. We love her pictures, and think she is the perfect person to replace Alexa Chung (who also did a cracking job) as brand ambassador. “Poppy Delevingne adds lightness and femininity to the images, without ever losing her edge,” a spokesperson for Vera Moda said. “Graphic and minimalist locations were chosen for the shoot to create an eye-catching reflection of Poppy’s fresh look and the more stringent lines of the location.” There are some fab pieces in the spring/summer 2013 collection, especially some pinstripe Beetlejuice inspired trousers that we are all over. The perfect contrast to the feminine florals! [Catwalk Queen]

And obviously if her “Errr YES… #happiestdayofmylife” caption on Twitter was anything to go by, we think she accepted the proposal. Let’s hope the model snaps a pic of the all-important ring too as we can’t wait to see what her future hubby picked out. Congrats guys!  We’re taking bets on which designer she will wear down the aisle right now; any suggestions? [Telegraph]

3 Ways To Fast-Track Your Place Into The Fashion Industry

Sashay across the catwalks like a long-legged fashionista, put yourself above Cara Delevingne in the food chain, and wear sartorial styles from the best designers in the world – these are the dreams of the fashion wannabe, and they seem further away than the moon. Indeed, the fashion world looks like the preserve of the elites to many. Everyone’s more beautiful than Greta Garbo, and that unattainable beauty makes it seem like an unreal profession, something that only exists in the world of films, the internet and television. But there’s more than one way to break into the fancy world of fashion – all you need is a little bit of forward planning and a hefty dose of determination. To give you a helping hand, we’ve come up with some suggestions of our own. See how you can incorporate them into your career plan. Get learning Distance learning was once the equivalent of a sapling pushing against the strong winds of brick-and-mortar universities. It struggled to find its place for decades, and most people couldn’t get past the fact that it was all so finicky. That was until the internet came along. Now, distance learning is a versatile and efficient way to earn a degree-based qualification in your chosen field. That means you can study fashion wherever you have a laptop and an internet connection. You can fit in a module during a long train journey or in your lunch break. You could even pass that final test while travelling in a foreign land. Major qualifications are available from providers like Anglia Ruskin Distance Learning – we recommend you give them a look. Get experience Little beats work experience when it comes to learning the ropes of your industry – and the fashion industry is no different. Provided you’ve got […]

Naomi Campbell and Jourdan Dunn star together for the first time in Burberry SS15 campaign

Can we take a moment to appreciate the fabulousness of this picture? Burberry are the gift that just keeps on giving. First they gave us Kate Moss and Cara Delevingne and now we have Naomi Campbell and Jourdan Dunn. Shot together for the first ever time Campbell and Dunn look absolutely amazing for Burberry’s SS15 campaign. Celebrating modern British talent and directed by Christopher Bailey, Burberry’s Chief Creative and Chief Executive Officer had only great things to say about the gorgeous pair, “Naomi and Jourdan – two great British icons, two strong, beautiful women and the two perfect faces for our new campaign. It is, as always, a real privilege to work with them.” Also starring alongside the dynamic duo are musicians George Barnett and George Le Page. Check out the campaign in the video below. It’s bright, bold and has us wishing for spring! The campaign marks Naomi’s first time with Burberry since featuring in their 2001 campaign. On working with Burberry again Naomi said, “I admire what Christopher and the entire Burberry family are doing so it’s great to be back working with the brand again. We’ve all witnessed the evolution of this great British brand and it is a privilege to be a part of its continuing progress within the world of fashion”. She continued, “I was thrilled to work with Jourdan Dunn for the first time – it was a lot of fun. But above all, it’s always rewarding for an artist to work on a campaign for a world-class product.” We love the campaign. It’s genius. Thoughts?

The British Style Award nominees are in! Who will you vote for?

Although the coveted Womenswear Designer of the Year award at the British Fashion Awards is out of our hands (and we’re kind of glad about it too, as we couldn’t possibly choose between JW Anderson, Christopher Kane and Erdem!), we do actually have a say in who walks away with the British Style Award. The 20 nominees have been released today, and it looks like the competition is fiercer than ever. There’s a real mixed bag of famous faces in there – from models to actresses to human rights lawyers – but there’s one thing they all have in common and that’s impeccable style. We think we’re going to take a while to cast our votes… The ten boys who have been shortlisted are, in no particular order, Douglas Booth, Benedict Cumberbatch , Ralph Fiennes, Bobby Gillespie. David Beckham, Daniel Sturridge, David Gandy, Idris Elba, Jamie Hine and Tinie Tempah. The ten girl who have been nominated are, once again in no particular order because we don’t want to influence you, Cara Delevingne, Emma Watson, FKA Twigs, Amal Cooney, Dame Helen Mirren, Kate Moss, Kate Bush, Rita Ora, Jourdan Dunn and Keira Knightley. Phew! There is also an “other” box to tick if you think someone else deserves the award (Kate Middleton or Harry Styles, perhaps?). Voting closes on November 5th, and everyone who votes will be entered into a prize draw to win 2 tickets to attend the awards ceremony on December 1st. So, get voting!

Is Suki Waterhouse making her Victoria’s Secret debut this year?

As this year’s Victoria’s Secret Show will be held in London for the first time ever, it wouldn’t surprise us to find one or two brand new British VS models on the catwalk. So, when we heard the rumours tha top Burberry model Suki Waterhouse might make her Victoria’s Secret debut this year, we certainly didn’t dispute them. The rumours were sparked when Suki posted a picture of herself on Instagram wearing super-sparkly lingerie and a giant peacock headdress not hugely dissimilar to those worn on the Victoria’s Secret catwalk. In true VS fashion though, the models taking part in the annual show won’t actually be revealed until the very last minute – but we don’t have very long to wait to find out the truth. In other related news, it doesn’t look like Cara Delevingne will be walking in the show as it seems to clash with the Chanel Metiers d’Art show in Salzburg, so Suki Waterhouse would be the perfect British model replacement. We would love to see Suki walk in the show… what say you? [Harper’s Bazaar]

Trainers voted the nation’s favourite footwear!

If you hate wearing heels because you can’t take the pain on the balls of your feet, the blisters, or the fact that it takes you twice as long to get anywhere in them, then we’re here to tell you that you aren’t alone. You aren’t alone because trainers are in actual fact the nation’s favourite footwear. Does this news surprise you? In a survey conducted by eBay, it was discovered that heels are out and trainers are in. And it looks like trainer-lovers have Rihanna to thank for it, as she has been voted “sneaker icon of the year”. And we all know how influential Rihanna is… The news may have surprised us a few years ago, but since we have been seeing more and more trainers on the catwalk (thank you, Chanel) and on some of the trendiest A-listers such as Cara Delevingne and Rita Ora, we’ve barely batted an eyelid. So, from feet across the nation, thank you ladies! [Glamour] [Image]

Karl Lagerfeld taps Pharrell Williams for Chanel mini movie!

Phew. And although it was initially thought that Pharrell and Cara were shooting the music video to their super-secret single in Paris a few days ago, it was in actual fact part of the Chanel mini movie. Kind of confusing but we hope we’ve cleared it up. The movie is reportedly part of the forthcoming Chanel pre-fall show on December 2nd. That’s the day after the British Fashion Awards, FYI. J.W. Anderson, Erdem and Christopher Kane up for Womenswear Designer of the Year at British Fashion Awards

It’s never easy calling who walk away with the coveted Womenswear Designer of the Year award at the annual British Fashion Awards, and this year we think the decision might be the hardest one ever. J.W. Anderson, Erdem and Christopher Kane are all up the coveted gong, while Christopher Bailey for Burberry, Paul Smith, Tom Ford, and JW Anderson (again) are up for Menswear Designer of the Year. Will young designer J.W. Anderson walk away with least one award? Do you think he can do the double? Anything is possible! Additionally, Anya Hindmarch, Charlotte Olympia and Nicholas Kirkwood are up for Accessories Designer of the Year, while Alexander McQueen, Mary Katrantzou and Roksanda are up for Red Carpet Designer of the Year. Cara Delevingne is up against her BFF Jourdan Dunn and Sam Rollinson for the Model of the Year prize – do you think there will be any animosity between them on the night? We doubt it! The British Fashion Awards will take place on December 1st at the London Coliseum, and will once again be hosted by Jack Whitehall after he did such a good job last year. SS15 highlights from Chanel, Valentino, Louis Vuitton and more

Feminism is without a doubt, the word of the month. First we had Emma Watson’s moving UN speech where she announced the launch of her HeForShe initiative, and now Karl Lagerfeld presents an equal rights protest for the Chanel spring/summer 2015 collection for Paris Fashion Week. Some of the hottest and most in-demand models such as Cara Delevingne, Kendall Jenner, Gisele Bundchen, Joan Smalls and Georgia May Jagger, among many others, joined the Chanel Revolution and held up signs with powerful messages on the catwalk – all while dressed in the finest and newest Chanel attire, of course! Elsewhere in Paris, Valentino presented a typically beautiful collection which was inspired by Italy through the eyes of a traveller. Meanwhile, Alexander McQueen’s Sarah Burton was influenced by all things Japanese for her latest catwalk outing, sending her models out in erotic and exotic garments with sharp shoulders, bold hand-cut floral detailing, and more oversized floral print than you can shake a stick at. And finally, Louis Vuitton ended Fashion Month with a stunning show presented by Nicolas Ghesquière, with the soundtrack from Close Encounters of the Third Kind playing as the lucky guests took their seats. We saw an abundance of lust-worthy leather goods and accessories – no surprises there – make their debut, and although Nicolas Ghesquière took a lot of risks by introducing new ideas, the aesthetic of the iconic French fashion House remained the same. Check out all of our highlights from the latest Paris Fashion Week shenanigans right here: Chanel Louis Vuitton Alexander McQueen Valentino

Romeo Beckham returns for Burberry Christmas advert!

It’s nearly the end of September which means it’s perfectly acceptable to start getting excited for Christmas. And if the thought of sleigh bells, turkey, cosy jumpers and gift exchanging wasn’t enough, we have yet another reason to get excited – we have a sneak peek of the Burberry Christmas advert starring Romeo Beckham! Oh yes, the middle Beckham boy (who is 12 years old now if you can believe it – bet that makes you feel old!) obviously impressed Christopher Bailey and the team when he starred in the spring/summer 2013 ad campaign alongside Cara Delevingne and Edie Campbell, which is why he’s back for more, wearing one of the brand;s most iconic pieces. We bet Victoria Beckham is a very proud mum right now! Burberry confirmed the news yesterday by posting the above pic on its Instagram pic – the teases! – although not many other details about the ‘Burberry Festive’ campaign have been released. We’ll be keeping a beady eye out for more pics and details and report back asap. Who’s excited to see Romeo return for Burberry?

Sarah Jessica Parker works the Burberry check print poncho in New York

We’ve seen some of the most stylish famous faces – from Olivia Palermo to Cara Delevingne to Rosie Huntington Whiteley, among others – step out in Burberry’s check print monogrammed poncho… but we think we’ve found someone who has outdone them all and put them all to shame… And that someone is the original fashionista, the woman who gave life to Carrie Bradshaw and made us fall in love with fashion – Miss Sarah Jessica Parker! SJP nailed that “just going about my daily business in the Big Apple” look, as she teamed her poncho with some gloriously skinny jeans, sleek and gorgeously tousled golden locks, and A-list essential black shades. If you’re going to wear a poncho this autumn/winters season, then this is the way to do it. From pink tutus to Manolo Blahniks, Sarah Jessica Parker has made us covet so many things – and this Burberry poncho has definitely been added to the list. Burberry personalised ponchos will be available in store and online from November! [Image c/o Burberry]

London Fashion Week SS15 highlights from Burberry, Tom Ford, Christopher Kane and more!

There were two surprises on the Burberry Prorsum catwalk yesterday afternoon. One – the absence of heels. And two – the absence of Cara Delevingne. Instead, the show was closed by Bradley Cooper’s very lucky and very gorgeous girlfriend Suki Waterhouse – a sign that she is becoming the new Cara perhaps? – while Cara herself joined the likes of Kate Moss and other A-listers on the front row. Do you think she had catwalk envy and FOMO? Elsewhere in London, we saw a very rock ‘n’ roll collection from Tom Ford, who definitely pulled out all the stops for his London Fashion Week show. Heels and stockings were high, and hemlines were low and practically non-existent; it was dark, it was daring, it was provocative, it was overtly sexual – it was Tom Ford in a nutshell! It wasn’t all sordid outfits that Rihanna and Miley Cyrus would be fighting over though, as there was an element of 70s glam rock in there too thanks to the flared sparkly gold trousers – possibly our favourite piece from the entire collection! Take a look at the rest of our highlights from London Fashion Week below and let us know what you think of the latest collections to debut… Burberry Tom Ford Roksanda Christopher Kane

In this social media world where everyone over the age of eight has a smartphone with a camera and in which street style fans are obsessed with finding the perfect lens to capture those great shots, it seems like everyone is a ‘photographer’. But they have a long way to go to reach the heights of the true fashion photography greats. Here’s a list of our five fave photographers in the biz, and the things we love about them: Mario Testino Probably one of the most famous, successful, respected and wealthy photographers in the world – and that isn’t just a coincidence! Why else would the Peruvian economics graduate be trusted with photographing the Royal family time and time again? He shot the late Princess Diana for Vanity Fair back in 1997, and more recently he caught Prince William and Kate Middleton’s engagement on camera for the world to see too. He’s also Anna Wintour and Christopher Bailey’s go-to man when it comes to those respective Vogue cover shoots and Burberry ad campaigns, although those aren’t the only things he spend his time on. Over the years, it’s no exaggeration to say that he just might have shot the majority of the celebrity world, with some of the people posing for his camera including Lady Gaga, Naomi Campbell, Cara Delevingne, Gisele, and so many more. What a pro!   Annie Leibovitz Another American Vogue/Anna Wintour favourite – although Annie Leibovitz hasn’t always just been photographing the stars for the biggest fashion glossy in the world. We love the photographer for her infamously controversial pictures including the John Lennon and Yoko Ono nude embrace shot, Angelina Jolie naked in the bath tub (pictured above), and a pregnant (and of course, nude) Demi Moore on the cover of Vanity Fair. And somewhat […]

Birthday girl Jourdan Dunn smoulders in Stella McCartney

We are as much in love with Jourdan Dunn as we are with her BFF Cara Delevingne – especially when it comes to their own individual off-catwalk style. Ms Dunn once again wowed us on Monday night, as she flashed her enviably long and seemingly never-ending pins in a dangerously short fringed dress from the Stella McCartney autumn/winter 2014 collection. She completed her look with a matching Stella McCartney clutch, strappy black sandals, and sleek and straight hair. She definitely stole the show with her sexy ensemble, which was a good thing seeing as she was out celebrating her birthday once again (she turned 24 last week!) and it’s always customary for the birthday girl to stand out from the crowd. Can you believe that this picture was taken as she was leaving London’s Chinawhite? Yep that’s right – this is what Jourdan Dunn looks like at the end of the night when the rest of us would be usually stumbling around and looking a little worse for wear. There’s a reason she’s one of the hottest and most in-demand young models of the moment…

12,000 women on Yves Saint Laurent Fusion foundation waiting list

Yves Saint Laurent’s brand new foundation hasn’t even hit the beauty counters yet, but it’s already looking like it might be one of the brand’s most popular products of the year! The Yves Saint Laurent Fusion foundation is modelled by Cara Delevingne (could that have something to do with the public’s interest?) and boasts a formula so powerful that it will leave your skin looking and feeling flawless for a whole 24 hours. No need to carry make-up with you and apply it on public transport with commuters giving you judgemental sideways glances. (We’ve all been on both ends of that situation, admit it…) “There’s definitely more matte to the finish than radiance, compared with our other foundations, and it lasts the entire day,” said Lloyd Simmons, YSL make-up creative director. “This foundation responds to modern women’s lives and how they don’t necessarily have the time any more to invest in a long, drawn-out beauty regimen. It has to be quick and easy. That’s what women want.” Of course we do; who wouldn’t want that? YSL’s Fusion foundation officially launches in Debenhams on August 10th, although we’d strongly suggest getting your name down on the waiting list today if you want to try it before the year is out. Karlie Kloss helps Donna Karan celebrate her 30th anniversary with AW14 ad campaign

Her good pal Cara Delevingne may be the epitome of the DKNY girl with her casual cool street style and can do attitude, but Karlie Kloss is the complete personification of the Donna Karan label. The proof is in the autumn/winter 2014 ad campaign! Yep, all-American girl Karlie Kloss is the face of Donna Karan’s autumn/winter 2014 ad campaign, and can be seen posing pretty in some of the most exquisite pieces from the designer’s latest collection to hit the New York Fashion Week catwalk. Karlie Kloss fans will agree that this ad campaign is pretty special as she is the star of it, but that’s not the only reason to get excited about it. Donna Karan is actually celebrating her 30th anniversary (which will make anyone who remembers the start of the label feel very old indeed!) so has treated this ad campaign as a bit of a look-back as well as a celebration. “30 years ago, I set out to design clothes for the woman who lives in motion,” the designer said in a press release. “A creative, urban woman like myself, who juggles myriad roles—professional, wife, mother, philanthropist. “Today, the Donna Karan woman is busier than ever. She’s become more powerful, more sensitive, more artistic, and more expressive in how she approaches her life. I wanted to capture the essence of this woman. To visually capture a woman’s soul and spirit from the inside out.” And we think she’s definitely achieved that – not only with the print campaign but also in the accompanying video which you can check out below. And we don’t think she could have given the honours to a better model, either. A match made in heaven we say! Here’s to another 30 years! [InStyle]

The six models who replaced Rihanna in the new Balmain ad campaign…

It was a wise choice choosing Bajan superstar Rihanna to be the face of the Balmain spring/summer 2014 ad campaign images, but we bet creative-director Olivier Rousteing didn’t think about how hard it was going to be to find someone to replace her for the new season. We don’t know how long he and the Balmain team spent racking their brains for a suitable replacement, but we think they will definitely be pleased with the end results, as they have picked six of the best, most dynamic modelling faces of the moment – Cara Delevingne, Jourdan Dunn, Ysaunny Brito, Issa Lish, Kayla Scot and  Binx Walton. “I could not be more happy with this campaign,” said Olivier Rousteing. “It illustrates my vision of the house. These six different women, from such an incredible mix of backgrounds, are all united to present what a modern French house can be.” The modelswere photographed by the legendary Mario Sorrenti under the art direction of Katie Grand, and really do emulate modern-day Parisian fashion at its finest. Well played, Balmain!

Sponsored Post: Customise your favourite denim with Levi’s!

Forget about Ascot and the World Cup; festival season is just around the corner and we couldn’t be more excited about it if we tried. While trying to get into the festival spirit, we did some vigorous Googling and YouTubing to try and find footage of old musical performances and pics of festival-goers in their coolest outfits, and one thing definitely stood out: the abundance of denim! And not just any denim, mind – old denim! If it looks like it’s on its last legs and needs throwing out, then it’s the perfect festival piece. If it looks like it’s been customised by the wearer and isn’t a generic high street store pair that everyone has in their wardrobes, then it’s the perfect festival piece. You see where we are going with this. Levi’s has cottoned onto the fact that it’s all about customised denim this festival season, so has come up with a pretty cool and exciting initiative. It’s asking all of you to pop into the Levi’s store with your favourite pair of Levi’s (it can be your trusty pair of jeans, a jacket, a shirt, or the ultimate festival essential: the denim hotpant) and let one of the expert in-house tailors get to work on it, and truly customise it so it stands out from the festival crowd. “With denim playing such an fundamental role in people’s wardrobes, the art of customisation and creating products that tell a story, was never more important than it is today,” said Scott Boyd-Errol, tailor at Levi’s Regent Street flagship store. We couldn’t agree with Scott more; you only have to look at the recent catwalks or street style snaps of our favourite A-listers from Cara Delevingne to Rihanna to know that it’s all about looking unique with old, frayed and […]

Ralph Lauren teams up with Royal Marsden charity

Ralph Lauren is taking on a new philanthropic project, as it’s just been announced that he will be teaming up with the Royal Marsden charity. The American fashion designer will attend a charity dinner hosted by Prince William – the President of the charity – at  Windsor Castle tonight. And although Ralph Lauren has met and dressed countless famous faces over his very impressive career, he’s reportedly extremely chuffed to finally meet our future King… “It’s a very important night. Mr. Lauren has not met the Duke before and he is over the moon about it, and very excited,” an official spokesperson for Ralph Lauren said. “He has spent a long time looking for the right cancer-related philanthropic mission. This is an opportunity to develop that work.” Ralph Lauren himself had his own personal battle with the disease over 25 years ago, so we know that the charity and all the fantastic things it does is very close to his heart. A host of A-listers such as Cate Blanchett, Helena Bonham Carter, Emma Watson, Kate Moss, Cara Delevingne and Mario Testino are also rumoured to be attending tonight’s event, so you know it’s bound to be a good one! Is Rita Ora the new face of Roberto Cavalli?

She may have rubbed Superga up the wrong way by breaching her contract, but that hasn’t stopped the job offers from rolling in for Rita Ora. If we are to believe the rumours that have suddenly emerged, the singer and style maven may have just landed an exciting new contract with Roberto Cavalli. Page Six reports that Rita celebrated her Roberto Cavalli ad campaign with Eva Cavalli, Maxwell, Russell Simmons and Francesco Carrozzini at dinner on Saturday night. It totally makes sense for Rita to be the face of the Italian fashion label, especially if we take into account how often she has worn one of its pieces over the years. One of her most recent outfits was the see-through one above which she wore to Coachella just a few weeks ago. Rimmel London, DKNY, a potential contract with Adidas, and now Roberto Cavalli – pretty soon Rita just might have more modelling work than her BFF Cara Delevingne. We hope the rumours are true but we’ll keep you posted as and when we get more info. [Image]

Hurrah! Watch out Cara Delevingne, Paloma Faith could very well be out for your job! Ok, maybe that’s a bit of an exaggeration, but Paloma Faith has just signed to Next Model Management, one of the biggest modelling agencies in the world, and we’re pretty excited about what projects are in the pipeline for the singer. “Paloma is a British fashionista with remarkable creative talent; we adore her musically and stylistically,” said Faith Kates, the founder and owner of Next Model Management. Paloma now joins the likes of singers Rita Ora, Ellie Goulding, Lana Del Rey as well as hot models Suki Waterhouse and Arizona Muse, so it looks like she’s in excellent company. We can’t wait to see what her first modelling job is; having performed at the Burberry Prorsum autumn/winter 2014 show earlier this year, we’re crossing our fingers that the quintessential British brand just might have snapped her up for a future campaign. What say you? [WWD]
